There are a lot of ESL websites and textbooks that can give you info on this. There are whole books on telephoning. No one can help you here unless they know the native language of the student. Presumably the target language is English. This will take quite a bit of preparation on the teacher's part, but it isn't at all difficult to do.

I was kind of like you, I did well in school and wanted to do well in school, but when it came down to math, man it just wans't happenin' for me.

Maybe you should get some help from your friends if they're willing to help you out a bit after school. Otherwise, sort something out with your teacher, and tell him/her that you are really driven to do well in this class and in school in general, and you really want to ace the class.

Just because you don't get it, doesn't mean there's something wrong with you. Certain teachers teach a certain way, and explain math a certain way. But there are many ways of explaning a certain theory or set of problems, and the way your teacher is explaining it to you probably just isn't the one that clicks in your head. If you set something up with your teacher, just ask him/her to try explaining it a different way, becuase you just don't understand it.

And when you get home and do the homework, instead of getting so frustrated and getting to tears, before you get to this state you need to just give it a break. When you see yourself getting so mad you want to cry, just walk away from the homework for a little bit. Go outside, grab a snack or something. Just give it a break. Sometimes by doing this, you can come back and it'll just click in! Even if it doesn't, at least it will give you time to cool down.
