As a supply teacher I have a number of books available to use as "Stand by" lessons when arriving in a classroom with no planning available. The most useful books (for me anyway) for IT work (at which I am an amateur!!) are the ICT Project series published by Letts. There are 6 books covering years 1 to 6 and each book includes work on:
Word processing
Graphics
Database and Spreadsheet
CD-Rom and Internet.
I must admit that I personally find them useful for their clear instructions on such topics as Text Wrapping, Rotating and Resizing when I am trying to produce interesting "documents" for church or for my wife's involvement in Girlguiding.
