Spanish Lesson Plan

Phyllis Said:

How can I plan spanish lessons for my friends, they want to learn but not in a very formal environment. Help!

We Answered:

What you could do is research the free online programs and pick out what you think would work for them and you. Just type "learn Spanish free online" in your search bar and you'll find a lot of websites that teach Spanish online.

But as for lesson #1: teach them the sounds of the vowels (knowing there's only one pronunciation will help), the sounds of the alphabet (especially "ñ", "ll" etc.) and then the sound of combined vowels like "ue", "uie" etc.

Terrance Said:

Help with creating a lesson plan for a Spanish class!?

We Answered:

Your teacher is asking you to give the kids a reason to want to learn the numbers. Try explaining why it is important to know how to count to 30 in any language (being able to buy things, express your age, etc.). Also, you have to make the activity engaging so that the students have the motivation to learn those numbers. A common approach is competition. Create a game in which the students have to know the numbers to win points, then give the winning team a small prize if you want. I'm teaching first graders right now and they don't need prizes after games, but I think 9-13 year-olds might. Good luck!

You don't want lesson plans.

You need to SPEAK to him in Spanish.

Effective Spanish language lesson plan?

We Answered:

Francisco gave you a good answer.
Let me add to that, that you might be ready for some language exchange. I've never done it myself but some people here have said it's been very useful.
Here's a link to one of those websites (mind you, there are others but I don't have the right links, you might want to google that)

And then, of course, you can always ask your questions here. There are excellent teachers and translators willing to lend you a had.
