Raul Said:

How long will it take me to learn how to play the piano?

We Answered:

It wont just take a couple of weeks to master the piano it rakes years to master many years. but with the experience u have lets say it will take 8 months less. It will take a long time remember and it will be frustrating and don't give up. I'll say it will take 5 years to know how to play songs easily and say ten years to be a master. I am a master i have been playing for 17 years and i practice everyday so should u!

Greenhouse visit for preschoolers?

We Answered:

I would ask if a worker there can give a tour for the children. Think about what your goals are. What do you want the children to learn? What a greenhouse is? How it works? That there are many kinds of plants? It might be good to ask THEM what they want to learn and see. What do they already know? Do you want to do follow up activities that have to do with plants?

Maybe the greenhouse would donate some small plants for your group that you could grow in the classroom or they could take home. (You might point out that they could include information about the greenhouse, thus giving free advertising to the children's parents.)

Most learning on the field trip will involve observation and questioning. Take lots of pictures to discuss after the field trip.

How do I turn my lesson plan about Aaron Copland into a lesson for Behaviorally Disabled Students?

We Answered:

Add more engagement, also really highlight what you want the students to learn. Even creating a graphic organizer so the students can interact and follow long as you teach the lesson. You can create the hand out and allow them to fill it out and follow along as your speaking. You ask them for input and also let them fill in the blanks when you tell them it's time. Also, implementing a points system where the students can earn points to buy trinkets or other things. Positive reinforcement is key - in your plan say you'll implement positive attitudes by "catching the students being good" and not letting negative behavior affect the lesson.

What are my chances of becoming a singer?

We Answered:

I think you should pursue it in everyway....practice is the key, but learn from you mistakes...don't take criticism to the heart, learn from it....(don't be like those kids on american idol) AND take every opportunity that is given to you, even if it is small. Little words of advice....good luck

Question about student teaching and homework load?

We Answered:

Your homework load should not change greatly, your time in the classroom will.
This upcoming semester take time to learn the skill of listening and then applying
what you have heard back to the class. One way teachers lose their students
is by constantly lecturing at them instead of letting the student lecture the class.
You are there to develop minds not to stifle their creativity. Gauge the intellect
and with proper direction move the class in a direction of interest with the applied
curriculum instead of boring them to death. Make learning fun! This is where we
lose our students. Boredom develops discipline problems, especially for the child with
developmental problems such as ADD or ADHD.
