Have a look through this and note changes - see if you can see why they are made and if it is picking up your intended meaning....

I wrote twelve diaries. I observed the children's activities and I supported them in different learning and developmental needs. In the play time, I noticed the children were using equipment in a safe way and at the end of the play time I stored the equipment in a safe place. I conducted religious education about Diwali. The children enjoyed that RE activity. I prepared the whole class activity of storytelling with pictures and the small group sessions of making traditional sweets. I brought a traditional costume for children and adults. I showed the costume to them and shared information about the costume. I did cooking activity with groups of children. I demonstrated the cooking method. I discussed with the teacher the risk assessment procedures in the classroom situation. This was very helpful and I now feel confident to work with them.

I supported individual children in their literacy activity. I helped one child to connect the words with pictures as she couldn’t understand some words. I did a Christmas clay ornament activity. I supported them in the use of their fine motor skills with activities like moulding, rolling and cutting shapes and making designs from the clay. The children involved in that activity effectively used their eye and hand coordination, cognitive skills and creative skills. I contributed well to the display activity which was creating materials for our new school activity. I supported the groups of children in choosing their topic (playground) and I asked them open questions starting with “what, why and how”. I encouraged them to build up their ideas and skills. I worked with EAL and challenged each child to keep on their task.

In each activity, the teacher and I discussed the lesson plan and I arranged the learning resources before doing that activity. I encouraged the children to be involved in their activity. I managed the children's behaviour by using appropriate resources, listening to instructions, interacting with others, controlling them and using equipment. At the end of the activity, I gave the feedback (verbal and written) to the teacher. I communicated well in the classroom and school environment with children and adults.
