how to write the lesson plan on one theme "weather" to teach the preprimary children in india?

We Answered:

The best and most overlooked way to improve classroom education of any kind is to introduce the use of boardgames. I have taught for over ten years all over the world, and only when I use boardgames do students voluntarily insist on extending their classes for two, three, even four hours. Not only that but they then show the most rapid improvement.

Give it a try and you will be amazed. At least you will be helping to break the monopoly that the big textbook publishers have over the education industry.

lesson plan for weather?

We Answered:

Match up the pictures with words like "Windy" "Sunny" "Snow," etc.?

Our weather unit was a week long and involved a couple of books, building a "weather station" (rain gauge out of a plastic soda bottle, stuff like that), and recording the weather daily. (Temperature, cloud cover, wind (y/n), any precipitation happening at that point.)

You could do a quickie wrap-up on the water cycle.

Identify which weather events are most likely during which season?

Select the right kind of clothing for each season?

what are some lesson plans i can do with 3 year olds thats dramatic play? the heme of the week is weather?

We Answered:

well, you're already going to get the story of noah's ark suggested but in case you'd like something a bit more theologically neutral, how about a story about a little bird whose nest gets washed out of her tree?

she floats along on the river faster and faster because the falling rain is making the river get higher. she is nervous and calls her mother but her mother cannot hear because of the noise of thunder and cannot reach her because the wind is too strong and in the wrong direction.

she bumps into a little island where the water is much calmer because the island stops it from rushing so hard and the trees and rocks shelter her from the wind and the lightning.

the rain stops, the river calms and slows down, the sun comes out, and her mother, guided by a rainbow, comes down to her and takes her back to their tree.

Letter W "weather" lesson plan for preschool?

We Answered:

We have a focus letter a week and that is also one of our "scissors" projects...cutting out the letter of the week... either before or after the "art" project was done.

Windy W's... practice blowing through straws. Then have them pretend to be wind and do blow painting either on a w or on a large piece of construction paper that will later be cut into a W, when dry.

You can also do eyedropper color mixing...I use icecube trays and let them go at mixing the colors (and many will turn the color brown)...but if you give them precut coffee filter Ww's they can drip the water onto their Ww's and the colors will spread, to show all the colors (if you use bold enough colors). Can be pasted to a background piece of construction paper. You can have them to pretend they are "sprinkling/raining" on the Ww's.

A very large W and w on a table or wall and "rainbow" crayons...crayons bundled with a rubberband.

Easel painting- different weather related colors- white/snow, yellow/sunshine, etc and have them tell you about the colors they used and how it relates/"makes sense to them" with weather.

good luck
