Craig Said:

good first day of school activity for middle school students?

We Answered:

2 truths and a lie.
The student tells the class two truths and a lie. The rest of the class have to guess which one is the lie. After they take a guess, the person who made the true truths and the lie, will have to replace the lie with the truth.

Anita Said:

Is it legal to suspend middle/high school students from non school related activity?

We Answered:

Yes, if you are involved in athletics, fine arts programs, JRTOC and have signed the schools disciplinary policy - the policy must state that cyber bullying or inappropriate language or inappropriate photos that defame or slanders others. The reason for these rules is because you are representing the school, program, district (to an extent), and community (to an extent) even though you are posting on your time. This doesn't make you unaccountable for your poor behavior.

There are also sport leagues that have guidelines that address cyber issues (includes text, email, any social network).

****You need to be ware that not only schools monitor this but Universities and colleges, businesses and large companies monitor these sites as well. It can cause you to be denied into a University, from being hired by a company.

Do not post things that can be slanderous or viewed as bullying. Don't post using profanity or inappropriate photos.

Blessings

Gym activities and games for middle school students? Suggestions?

We Answered:

You could set up goals in the gym to play soccer( you would just have to make more teams with less people in them, and switch teams on and off.)
You could also play a big game of knockout(i've played with partners ounce and your legs are tied together like a three leged race.)There are alot of diffrent ways to play dodgeball if you havent done them yet. Like...

DOCTOR DODGE BALL
Divide into two teams, each choosing a "doctor", or two for larger groups (their identity being secret).

Just like regular Dodge-ball, use a bunch of balls that are soft and throw them at each other. When someone is hit, they must sit. Here's where the doctor, just one of the players to the other team, may touch the injured and bring them back into play.

Hint: the players shouldn't just pop up when touched- this will give away the doctor. Also, we recommend a decoy touching kids as well. When the doctor is hit, the team's only hope is their skill.

The object: Eliminating the opposing team, including their doctor.

ARMY DODGEBALL
it is basically a free for all dodgeball game with a twist. if someone is hit in the arm or leg they can no longer use that arm or leg until the round is over.
for example if someone throws the ball at you and it hits your right leg you can no longer use that leg you have to hop around on one foot until the round is over. If they are hit on the back, stomach or head that person is "dead" or out, or if they use an appendage that they have lost in battle they are elimenated from that round.
The last person standing wins the round. You can use one or more balls if you wish. This game can be played with or without teams, where as the last persson standing's team is the winners.

TOLIET PAPER/CUP DODGEBALL(I've played without the cup thing too)

This is a fairly quick and easy variation to dodgeball that gets everyone involved and is stacks of fun.

What you will need is:

- Toilet rolls (lots of them)
- Disposable cups

With this variation of the game, divide a room/playing area into two halves, as with normal dodgeball. Then set up a number of pyramids made from 3 disposable cups each behind each team. These are each teams' lives, which the other team has to knock over by throwing the toilet rolls at them. When a team has lost all their pyramids, then they're out.

Unlike dodgeball, there are no outs, rather by catching/stopping the ball means that you are protecting your pyramids from the possibility of getting hit.

Awesome fun for everyone involved, and it's great for building up teams.

Extra notes:
We also set up a 'no-defend' zone behind each team to prevent teams from standing directly over the pyramids to protect them - it makes the game a bit quicker.

I am a middle school teacher looking for drugs and alcohol activities?

We Answered:

You should rent the movie Half Baked. Then score about $50 worth of weed.... If you don't have a bong or anything, you could probably roll a fatty spliff or something.

Anyways.. make sure you teach your kids that it's puff puff pass, so the spliff gets around to everyone. Oh. And for the alcohol.... just get a couple forties. Maybe a few pints of the strong ****.

I really wish I had a teacher like you when I was a kid.

Discuss It!
