Both teams are equal--truly. Kids entering Kenmore are divided randomly between the two teams, with kids from each elementary school (such as Barrett) being split between the teams and the classrooms. It's not like all of the smart kids are put into one team and the dumb kids into the other.

Also, you can't ask for which team you'll be in--that is done by the guidance counselors.

The education quality is likely to improve now that Texas is doing away with the TAKS test. Now teachers are free to teach relevant curriculum instead of teaching around a standardized test.
