Yes, that's what liberals teach. That's their idea of free speech: You can say anything you want, anything outrageous--so long as you agree with them. Otherwise, you should be shut up.

My brother experienced the same kinds of intolerance, but at least he was in college. Several of his liberal professors said the same thing: "I'm surprised you believe that or support him." When he'd ask why, they would say, "Because you seem so smart." Several of his poly sci profs actually gave him "Fs" because his papers would incense them simply because he disagreed with their ideals. More than once, he had to appeal it to the department head, who would have to insist that the prof give him a grade based on his writing and research and not on his beliefs. Some profs actually refused to do it because my brother was so incredibly wrong in what he thought. Amazing, aren't they?

I used to think liberals were the open-minded people who accept different ways of thinking and different kinds of ideas. Since being on Y!A, I have realized that liberals are exactly the opposite of that. They are some of THE most closed-minded, judgmental, hypocritical people I have ever encountered.

The liberal response is typical! Some believe it's just "kids being kids." Of course they fail to realize that kids get these attitudes from their parents, as you even pointed out for them. They wouldn't be calling this girl "stupid," let alone send threats her way if their parents didn't pass this sort of thinking along to them.

The others think it's HER fault and just a stunt cooked up by her parents! As if she's NOT intelligent enough to come up with this idea on her own. Liberals truly are amazing!

You could bring ur supplies and backpack, but you'll soon learn that all you need is a notebook and pencil to take notes about what supplies you'll need (no backpack needed for that!)
They'll give you some leeway on the first day and teach you how to open a locker
We never got lockers till TONS of paperwork was turned in (about thursday)
The class for the first day will be crap about like....MEET YOU or something, it's just worksheets, also stuff like, decorate your bookcover or buy school supplies or something....
The first day of class you just learn what supplies you need and you Organize your binder sections for each class....
NO recess, lunch, you eat with your classes,(20 min) and the second bell is when you MUST be in the class.........
