That's an awkward age for kids..not quite grown up, but getting to that pre-teen years. Don't dwell on it too much, you'll only call more attention to it, and upset him more. Believe me , he'll grow out of that awkwardness and stand up for himself oneday. They always do. It just hurts YOU more to see it right now. But when he gets good and sick of it, no more problems!

Take A Martial Arts class or attend YMCA and learn how to fight, then make some friends and get them to back you up to make you look tougher and not to mess around with, Then you go to them and say some insults if they try to beat you up your friends got your back and plus you know Martial Arts to defend yourself. IGNORE THEIR INSULTS LOOK COOL AND PRETEND NOT TO CARE THEN MAKE THEM MAD AND WALK AWAY....IF THEY TRY TO FIGHT YOU THATS THE CUE TO FIGHT, BUT THINK FIRST DONT I MEAN DONT HIT THEM FIRST!!
If these dont work then threaten them to tell the teacher and get close to a teacher when their by you, in a couple weeks they'll get tired and stop,

The answers are in your second paragraph. You've gotten yourself into a cycle: you don't try new things, so you don't get good at anything. You're not good at anything, so you don't try new things. Etc, etc.

You believe you're not talented, but nobody is good at anything until they try, and practice. You say you're a metalhead, and you have a Metallica logo as your avatar. Why not pick up an inexpensive electric guitar and amp, and download some tabs from the UltimateGuitar website? "One" and "Fade to Black" aren't too hard to learn, at least the James parts. There are lots of free guitar lessons online, and it takes no time at all to learn a few basic chords. I wish I'd taken up guitar at age 17, instead of 33.

Music is a great equalizer in the looks department. Check out the Rolling Stones, Lyle Lovett, Neil Young... those are some ugly dudes, but you can bet they get laid like crazy.

Well, first off on the first day, just try talking to some people like "Hey, I'm Alex, are you new here?" or something like that. I know it sounds wierd and cocky and all but that helps making friends or just hanging out with 'em on that day. Secondly, try to fit in by looking at people clothes. Lol it sounds funny but it works too! Like if you were hip-hop clothing, you belong with the cool, hip-hop, gangster group. Dark, black clothing, the goth group. Ed hardy clothing, then the normal somewhat wierd group lol. That happened to me once when I had to switch schools in Gr. 8. (Hip-Hop btw). And yeah, Thirdly, BE TALKATIVE! People wants to listen to what you say and stuff. People will respect you and like you too!

Yeah, that's basically it. Those are the main stuff you should keep an eye out for. Forget about the past and move on toward the future. Stuff like this will happen eventually. Keep an positive attitude. Best of luck!
