Such a detailed explaination of a relatively simple question. The answer is if those things would bother you too much, don't move there. Usually the best places are pricey. As for the train noise, you get used to it.

UT-Arlington is another commuter school, which is why there isn't much going on there. I would think UNT would have more social life because it's more isolated and most students live on campus. Texas A&M probably has a good social life, too, as well as Texas Tech, again because they are isolated in small towns.

Sadly enough this is his continued "punishment" for making the bad choices he has made. You might ask his parole/probation officer, if he has one for suggestions or maybe if this officer feels it appropriate their office could write some type of vouching letter that he is abiding by his parole agreement. That is if he even has a parole officer.
PS I am not trying to make excuses for this felon, but many people don't realize we have almost ALL done something that would/could put us in prison, we just didn't get caught.
Come on, who can say they NEVER drove after consuming alcohol, wrote a check for something you had to have before payday and prayed it didn't clear before your payroll deposit, etc. And just because she said felon, does not mean he is a sex offender.
