People are looking for sponsorships for this program and other study abroad programs, band uniforms, senior trips and all kinds of things. No. Companies have set annual budgets for charities, and can only contribute to charities which have tax-exempt status under the IRS codes. They cannot deduct it on their taxes unless it conforms to IRS rules! They might be able to donate to the school (e.g. something toward band uniforms), but not to an individual.

Furthermore, half the companies in the US are hanging on by a thread. They are laying off their staff, slashing their budgets, trying to keep the company doors open. Many are not making it. They do not have any money for you. They do not even have money to donate to the school!

It is entirely up to you and your parents to pay for this. So, you need to do babysitting, dogwalking, whatever, to earn the money. Sit down with your mom and see if you two can work something out to put together at least $500-600/month for the trip. If not, well, we are all disappointed about something or other many, many times in our lives. For each door that closes, another opens. For example, all that money you put toward the trip, if it isn't enough, goes toward your college, and that is vastly more important.
