History Projects For Middle School
Leslie Said:
What can I do my history fair project on?We Answered:
It might be a bit ambitious but my favorite conflict and compromise in history would have to be the circumstances surrounding WWI- the conflicts that led to the assassination were somewhat justified, but the end result became the war. The compromise of the war ending left many upset and was the direct reason why someone in Germany got his rise to power.Do some research and you'll come up with something.

Theodore Said:
What was a lady's role in the church, in the middle ages?We Answered:
An upper class woman attended church as a political and social event. There, she could mingle and speak to other women of her class. Or run her husbands business. In larger cathedrals, a high Latin mass could take upwards of two hours and attendees would often speak and deal with each other privately. Archbishop Thomas Becket in the 1160s decried that at Cantebury services, some parishoners would leave, eat meals, and then return to the service. Often though, a woman's trip to church was merely to display her wealth through her appearance and attendents.A lower class woman had the duty to be quiet and mind her own business. She was at a disadvantage spiritually, being the progeny of Eve.
All women had to respond like the men. All women had to keep their hair bound and covered in Northern Europe. No touching men or shows of affection.
Nuns were the (rough) equivalent of monks and had the ability to say mass for themselves and pray for others. Five times a day, according to the rules of saint benedict. Convents were under the express control of male church administrators. But there was very little interplay between female and male church careers.
