Sorry David, there are no private school scholarships but there may be free tuition given to a few children each year at that school if the child is a minority, poor and an exceptional student. Have your parents check into that..........they have to have to offer free tuition to underprivileged children.

I'd think of them WHAT is wrong with YOU? Doesn't anything outrageous SHOCK you ANYMORE. What would shock you if you keep having a "a couldn't care less" to such events? Would an outright killing, by your schoolmate seated next to you with a sword or machete decapitating another schoolmate's head WAKE YOU UP, to what is happening with the youth of this country?

The thing is that there has been for a number of years the allowance of the dissolution of the Family Structure.
Kids are not given proper up-bringings. They are left to carry out their lives as if they had adult minds when they don't. They are allowed to watch horrific games where the goal is killing, maiming, massacre, war, God knows what else . . and the adults, so d@amned materialistic, continue to seek more creature comforts and money-making. They just (HOPE) their kids do not become part of the "bad" ones. Well, you know what? No, these kids don't grow out of this kind of careless, who the H!ll cares, they continue to ask for help by outrageous means they intuit is asking for a STOP ME, PLEASE!
I don't know what is happening to the response of America's conscience, but it is collectively becoming less responsible.
I feel sorry for the kids, because they are asking for the care they need, the guidance lacking in today's family structure. And parents and adults, explore little into this - instead they just go on, with eyes half closed to what is going so wrong!
When I heard of this incident described here, I was really wondering about how class, after such a shocking act continued? Did the amazed teacher just say, "okay kids finish up and then go back to your seats, and please open your books to page 138 in your American History books?" or did she do something about it with the kids, the school and THE PARENTS to SHOW that something had gone wrong, "BIG, TO BECOME BIGGER, as time went on and eyes were not forced open???

Long Middle School is on Bellaire in southwest Houston. Its in a poor socioeconomic area. The school is heavily populated by immigrants and Hispanics. It's not a school for troubled kids, in fact it has a magnet program, but there is a lot of gang activity. It is a big school
