Application requires work reference from immediate supervisor (please read details before answering...)?

We Answered:

Most employers are only looking for past references. They understand that it would be detrimental to your current job if your current boss is contacted and you are not hired. They will not hold this against you for getting in for an interview.

Electronics Engineering or Computer Science?

We Answered:

Electronics Engineering would be much more of what you would be into. Computer Science and programming job positions are limited in scope and can be rather boring if you aren't totally consumed by programming. Electronics engineering allows you the latitude to do programming, or work with computer science projects, but also allows you the latitude to do much more than one specific job type. If it comes down to a choice between just these two areas, then the choice is very clear.

Electronics engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the emission, behavior, and effects of electrons (as in electron tubes and transistors) and with electronic devices, systems or equipment. The term also now covers the larger part of electrical engineering degree courses as studied at most European universities. Its practitioners are called electronics engineers in Europe. In the Americas the term electrical engineer is used to describe the same work.

Classroom camera online?

We Answered:

You might be able to set this up using just one really high quality webcam and a computer. That is the most economical way to go and you can view it from any internet browser. There are more expensive systems but I guess it depends how many cameras and how setailed you want each picture.

Look into a webcam, it's easy to set up and low cost and usually includes the software needed to run it.

Good luck!

What are the differences between UCF's and UF's comp/elec engineering schools and chances of getting in?

We Answered:

Why don't you look on these websites and find out the exact requirements for admission. Use the contact information and just *call* then for any other questions. When you call you'll get a department secretary/assistant type person who will be more than happy to answer your questions.
