Go to the County's website you want to apply in. Google dekalb county public schools, Atlanta city public schools, Fulton county...clayton...Cobb...gwinnett. In the career/employment section look for the area that has alternative teaching route. Some schools use TAPP. Here's the tapp website: www.gapsc.com/EducatorPreparation/TFG.as… fill out the application on the county's website for the district you want to apply to. Also contact the HR dept.

Have you been to any of the school district's websites? Because every school does not require a 2.5 GPA under TAPP. I was trying to get certified but decided to go back to get my masters.

You've got two terms with "y" and two terms that are just numbers. So combine like terms:
3y + 6 - y - 2
3y - y + 6 - 2
(3y - y) + (6 - 2)
(2y) + (4)
2y + 4

Give her a chance, your pupils may take a liking to being taught from other methods other than a textbook. You may enjoy it too. They're there to advise and if your head agrees with her I suppose you have to run with it.

We Answered:

think of translating vagueness to specificity, and specificity to personal claim, and doing it in steps. 1) Think through an "expert" presentation of a chunk no more than 10 minutes long using any tools you have. 2) Ask students to identify the key elements they'd need in order to replicate the anwswer. (e.g. 2 definitions and 3 steps). 3) they write these down, neatly organized, so everyone has a perfect model of the answer. 4) Pair them up, and ask them to ask each other the question(s) you've treated, and raise their hand when their partner has the answer perfectly. 5) have a wall chart with their names. Beside them, post the number of correct answer points as they obtain them--eeg. for the one above, 5 points. Do this process with each new chunk and save all previyous chunks.
