Wow...sounds like things can get pretty hectic at home. I can tell your mother cares about you, but that doesn't make it easy to deal with. It does sound a bit paranoid, as some of the things she worries about are quite extreme and unlikely to happen. Have you talked with your father about this? Maybe talk with a professional or a doctor? Hang in there...

I would say 20-40%. But you have to remember that many people who have similar stats do not get in. Your essay and recs are actually very important, and descent won't cut it.
