Middle School Science Projects 7th Grade

Susan Said:

I am in 7th grade and I need a middle school Science project!?

We Answered:

The best thing you can do is to find something that interests you, then find out as much as you can about it & do a project on that. You need to do it that way, in case the judges ask you questions about your project. If you studied enough, you'll be able to answer their questions enough to impress them, and possibly get a high score. When I was in 8th grade, I did a project on rocks & minerals. I had always been interested in rocks, picking up ones that sparkled, or had weird colors in them. I got a rock book and compared the ones I had to the pictures in the book. I studied about where they came from and how many of them were used in construction and buildings. I got an A+ on my project, and a second place at the fair. And it was all because I could answer the judges questions to their satisfaction. When you don't take shortcuts, it pays off. Now, if your project is due this week, you're gonna be sorry for waiting so long. It will be very hard to do anything on short notice. Hopefully, you're giving yourself plenty of time to study your project, make your report and anything else necessary to dazzle the judges. I wish you success in whatever you do. <*)))><

you could talk about where they live what they eat if there poisones how big they get. you could ask if any of the children have any reptiles as pets.

Whats a good middle school science project?

We Answered:

you could build a volcano - instructions are on the internet
or you could make a relay switch with a battery and a light bulb. When the gate is open, no light. Closed, light.
You could also do a project on mold. You grow mold on bananas, bread and cheese. Then you talk about how long it took to grow it, what container you used, light versus no light, cheese had to be at room temperature, not in fridge.

What is a winning 7th grade Science fair project?

We Answered:

You don't have much time but if you live in an area that has greenhouse plants available, you could buy several 4 packs or 6packs and test variable conditions: full sun, partial sun, no sun; Miracle Gro, some, lots, none; transplanting in backyard soil, potting mix or, if available, various soils: sand, clay, etc. Just make sure all the plants look the same when you buy them and take lots of pictures at one week intervals. You could also try various waters. High mineral content tap water, artesian water, filtered water.
In fact, why don't you just do a chemical analysis of your local water supply? There are labs that do this and, if you asked, I'm sure they would be very helpful.

what is a good middle-school level science fair project? 7th - 8th grade level?

We Answered:

oo! My sister did this in gr 8 and got an A.
She grew green beans in mini pots and each pot had something different about it. Like one had fertilyzer another had potting soil while the other had regular soil from the ground and there were many more examples.
THen you observe and see which one is most healthy or grows faster or something like that!
It turned out really good!
