What is the average GPA of a middle school teacher? We Answered:
It sounds like you want to know the IQ and/or GPA of teachers who went to college, got their degree, then became teachers at the Middle School Level. You want to know if they are smarter than a fifth grader type thing it sounds like, but truthfully, no knowledgeable data of that type is readily available. First, you would have to determine how many middle school teachers there are in the USA (that could be determined on a given day but would take some time). You would also need to know what school they attended and then find out what their GPA is. Thirdly, with the first two pieces of information, one could calculate what the mean, or average GPA is for all middle school teachers across the board. That data is not available. I did Internet Engine Search it, however, just to see what would come up. This is it: http://malaysia.search.yahoo.com/search?… , which offers nothing useful that I can see. Best of luck becoming a teacher, and simply do the best you can and don't short change your students.Nicholas Said:

Is it unethical for a female middle school teacher to provide her personal cell phone number to her students? We Answered:
i personally think it is. as a former police explorer, i had situations where personal information in public places can cause a type of offensive reaction between both parents and teachers, especially when it comes to personal interaction with your own children. my suggestion would be to go to the principal and express your concern over the matter. let him know that even though she may not have any type of intention toward the children, other parents wont see it that way. furthermore, offer some alternative means of communication like her school email address or classroom number as a contact. also, most schools have a voicemail program that will allow teachers to record a long message with information. if that school offers that, ask that she record the weekly assignments on there as well as provide her school email address and some website where they can also seek help. there are many website out there designed for every child of whichever grade level to seek help. hope this helpsJeanne Said:
How do you become a middle school teacher? We Answered:
Your history degree is fine however, you will want to RUSH to the education department at your college and allow an advisor provide you with the additional educational courses you will need to take. There are required courses to ensure you have the state's requirements to teach. After that, your advisor will help you select a middle school where you can begin 'student teaching'. Usually, you will observe the teacher in that class for a short period of time -and then you will be allowed to teach a lesson for several weeks. During this time, you are acting just as the teacher. You'll take attendance, do hall duty, attend planning and collaborative meetings, staff meetings and whatever the regular teacher would do. When you complete this portion of your study - you will be directed to take the PRAXIS exam, and also your state's history exam (or whatever subjects you are going to teach). THEN you can become licensed and start looking for a teaching position. The rules have changed so much over the years because the requirements for teaching have become more strict. I pray that you are clear about your decision and do ask questions. Many of us teach multiple subject matter. While I majored in Sociology at my college, my minor was English and I had an abundance of credits in history. These helped me in many ways. My certification is for grades 7-12 and I am able to teach, middle school (Lang Arts,Social Studies) Reading, Speech, and other Related Arts classes). In high school, I am certified to teach - English, History).
Be sure to engage in a good question and answer session with your advisor. They can guide you all the way. Good luck!

Is it difficult to get licensed as a middle school teacher in Canada? We Answered:
Hi, congratulations on moving to Canada.Teaching in Ontario requires the approval of the Teachers College. All teachers are either trained here, and subsequently qualified, or otherwise if they are trained as a teacher somewhere that is not recognized, then that teacher will be required to take a test to become certified. Take a look at the Ontario Teachers College for specifics. This process however only applies to the public school system.
Private schools are another matter, and as far as I know they do not have any specific requirements for teaching credentials. There are many private schools in the Toronto area that you could likely get a job with, as you are working towards your certification for the public system, if you so choose.
As for teaching positions, there are many. There are somewhere around 100,000 teachers in Ontario, I believe. As with the States, many are now nearing retirement age, opening positions for teachers in all disciplines.
Cheers, and good luck.
