I am having second thoughts about moving back!!!?We Answered:
I know all of this is over whelming. You should talk to your mom. She could help ease your worries. If you feel you don't want to burden your mother, then talk to your guidance counselor. She/he should be able to help you. While it is scary to move, just think of the positive. You will see your old friends. You will have family around. I would not be too worried about school. I am sure you will do just fine. If you need a little help, your new school may offer tutoring. Good luck.

Can anyone in here help out a depressed high school senior? We Answered:
Whoever said the best years of your life are while you're high school either was still in the seventh grade or beyond the age of seventy and wistful for the time when their body was in its peak physical condition and they still had the luxury of a future stretched out before their eyes. I had what appeared to be the ideal high school experience with popularity, stellar grades and fulfilling extracurriculars, and yet, I was chronically stressed out and sleep deprived, and I cried more times than I count. I graduated last year, and I swing from being really nostalgic about the way things were to being so incredibly relieved that it's all over. Most people feel like their high school years were challenging. Why do you think there are so many movies, books and television shows about teenage angst and exasperating high school drama? So please don't feel like you're an outcast, or have somehow ruined your life because these past four years haven't been your best.Instead of dwelling on the past, focus on all that is in front of you. It's May of your senior year of high school and this chapter of your life is rapidly reaching its end. Try your best to make the very most of it because you'll have the rest of your adult life to lead, but you'll never really be a kid again once you graduate. It's unfortunate that you didn't do as well your freshman and sophomore years, but very admirable that you were able to make straight A's your final two years and pull your GPA up to a respectable 3.4. True, it's not high enough to get into an Ivy League caliber school, but there are many fantastic universities that would be happy to have you. Did you apply to any of them? If you haven't, then you could go to a community college for a couple of years and earn your AA degree then transfer to a great university.
It sucks that you were ostracized because of your ethnicity, and it's understandable that you're deeply unhappy with where you live. Are you really chained to staying there, though? You could go to a college in a different area, sign up to work with a noble organization like AmeriCorps, get a youth visa to work abroad in a country like Australia, or get a job and save up to move to place where you'll feel more accepted. You have an entire world to pick from! Yeah, it's hard to build up a life when you're out on your own for the first time, but if you work hard and stay optimistic you can.
You can do all those things you listed as wanting to do! Most people do not meet their soul mate in high school. Who is to say you can't marry a beautiful Asian, Indian or Hispanic girl? You? If you believe that you can't, you won't, and vice versa. There may not be those girls at your school, but there are quite literally billions of them in the rest of the world. Try to see if you can still play football. If there's a team at a community college, see if you can join. If you can't then once you live in a bigger area see if you can volunteer somewhere like the Boys Club helping to teach kids to play. You can go to grad school. You will most likely never be healthier than you are right now, so if you want to build up your body, do it.
Be proud of what you have accomplished! Be excited about the future that you can build up however you like. Have the self-respect to believe in yourself and to fight for your happiness.
Good luck!
~ Peace : )

Depressed high school senior who has had some bad high school years, any help?We Answered:
Lets see.Marrying a beautiful Asian or Hispanic or Indian girl = easy, can be done, you are Indian and in the area I live in most Indian guys usually marry Indian girls while some go off with Latinas and White girls.
It will happen, don't stress about it.
Playing football in college = D-1A may not happen but lots of Ivies and Division 3 schools welcome walk ons and have people just like you on them. With work and proper advice it can happen, but don't ask around on the football section though.
Top University transfer = do good in college and it will happen, you need to a high GPA at the college you are going to (3.8+) and you need to work on building a good resume but top universities do take transfers. Vanderbilt accepts nearly half of all transfers while Georgetown accepts 20 percent of them, Washington U in St Louis accepts nearly 20 percent and it is a division 3 school with a football program.
The good body can happen as well, just rough it out man, you are almost there.

I am trying to understand North Korea, but the more I think, the more confused I get?We Answered:
Everything the leaders of North Korea do is to maintain their own power and luxuries. There is no other purpose to their regime. Starving their people or risking war is of no consequence to them as long as they maintain power. Morality or ethics or the opinion of the world are of absolutely no consequence unless it affects their ability to maintain control. This is the most repressive state in the history of the human race, and it's very hard to know what the general population is thinking or how they would act in crisis. Hoping that they'd rise up in revolt is probably futile, since they've been trained from birth to follow orders and show no initiative of their own. We have to avoid projecting how we see the world and what makes sense to us in anticipating their actions and reactions.
I read an interview with a defector to the South who said he decided to escape when he saw a news photo of students involved in a violent protest in Seoul. He noticed that one of them had a ball point pen in his pocket, and figured that if an ordinary person was allowed to have something so luxurious by North Korean standards as a pen, he could do well there. Unfortunately, many defectors have difficulty adapting to a culture of freedom and the need to make their own choices. This is a very, very strange place.

Are high school years really supposed to be the best years of your life, can you help out a depressed senior? We Answered:
I really hope high school is NOT the best time of your life. I mean, think about it: Let's say your high school years were everything you'd ever want and perfect in every way. That's only FOUR years and when you're done, you're still extremely young. Then you live for 60 years more and it NEVER gets better than those four. WOW, how depressing, right? You're a senior so if you haven't had a great time, THANK GOD IT'S ALMOST OVER!!!! From here, do whatever you want! Woo Hoo!
Here's an example: Will.I.Am from the Black Eyes Peas grew up in a hispanic neighborhood where he wasn't accepted because he is Black. He went to an all-white school where he wasn't accepted because he was Black. Imagine how miserable his childhood was. But he grew up and was able to leave that behind, go where he wanted and do what he wanted. He is one among MOST people who will say that high school was most definitely NOT the best time of their lives.
I think that really only applies to the star football player, lead cheerleader and class president. They go out into college and the real world and find they are one among many. For THEM, high school may very well be the best time. The nerds and Plain Janes grow up to come into their own and it's their adult lives that are great.
You have that same opportunity. You can move away to where the things you want out of life are accepted. Move to a more racially diverse area. Attend a community college and play in their football program. If you're good enough, you can play at a university when you transfer. Get good grades in community college and get into top schools. I know people who went to Harvard from a community college! Hit the gym and get that body you want!
As an adult you make your own decisions, so you're in control of which dreams you decide to chase. Trust me, in a few years high school will be a faint memory that you'll look back on and laugh at.
