When my son was born, I took off from my corporate life, and using my own account, I made a good living trading in the commodities market for two years.

What that meant to me was that I got to be with my son all the time during those two years. I was able to provide him with a feeling of love and security that made him open and loving with people.

Everyone in the world was his friend. He had never had a reason to doubt that.

When he went to pre-school, he still had this mindset. When he had friends, he would sometimes hug them to tell them that he loved them. I was appalled when one day, a teacher suggested that his hugs might be considered "inappropriate"! I was sick to my stomach at the thought that I would have to look into the innocent eyes of a baby, and teach him to stop showing his love.

There had never been a complaint from any of his friends. It was the tainted minds of the adults in his environment that were at issue.

"Zero-tolerance" is zero thought. It is fly-by-wire, cruise control, cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all stupidity dressed up in a smart suit.

I hope I live long enough to see us come back to our senses.
