Parkside Middle School

Miguel Said:

Is this a Black History Month question (sorry E)?

We Answered:

i think that is a great idea-they do it w/ celebrities all the time, and what do they honestly do for the community? at least this coach did something respectful-and his parents were educators there as well so that puts more emphasis on the education aspect-fabulous!

Brent Said:

Should they do this?

We Answered:

I wouldn't mind it, but it seems kind of early to do something like that. He had a great season this year with the Colts and a Super Bowl win, but it's not like he's the greatest coach ever...YET.

Again, I wouldn't mind it and it helps that his parents were educators there too. He is a very good role model. I go to school with one of his nephews.

I think you both like each other very much, but I think that you both need to sit down and talk about it, you know your feelings ans stuff. And maybe you two will date again so day.

Tips on middle school?

We Answered:

be yourself. trust me, being popular isnt always everything! i just had my last year in middle school as an eighth grader and i can relate to you because that was how i felt when i was beginning middle school.
trust me DO NOT BE MEAN!
you watch the movie Mean Girls and think because theyre pretty and mean, they get everything they want! well thats not in real life. theres always going to be the more popular person but don't let that stop you from having self confidence. DO NOT BE STUCK UP! boys don't like it and girls will just start drama. you might think its cool to be all tough and get in fights but its not worth it, it brings more problems. stay away from drama. if mean girls bother you, say, "i don't care" "good for you" "you're not worth my time"
make as many friends possible!
you will meet soo manyy people who do drugs and smoke;
i guess you could be their friends because you want to be friendly, +that is their choice of lifestyle & they are messing up but DO NOT let them influence you at all! you will regret it in the end!
also, middle school, so many NEW cute guys, right?
don't get caught up with them though like i did.
i made the mistake to have a boyfriend & then break up & move on quickly 3 times in the same year, and got the nickname "slut". it affected me greatly but i was young[er] and stupid but now ive completely changed and slowed way down when it comes to boys.

overall, they key is to make many friends, but have your true best friends by your side the WHOLE time! meet people, be NICE to EVERYBODY no matter how geeky or nerdy! be yourself (:
hope it helped

When are my classes? Rules for Middle School?? Help!?

We Answered:

Is there a registration or orientation time before school starts? That will help, you will either get your schedule at a registration time or they will mail it to you. Many schools get their schedule the day school starts. Don't worry about finding your classes. Everyone is confused on the first day of school. Even the teachers and uperclassmen! They will not count you tardy on the first few days of school. See if you can get a map of the school. Don't be afraid to ask someone if you don't know where your class is!
Organization is the key for middle school. Be organized and you will be ready for anything that comes your way!
On the first days you should....
Try to get on your teacher's good side. Don't suck up to them or be a teachers pet, but be attentave (sp?) and ask if you have a question.
Make friends! If you see a kid sitting alone, invite him/ her over and get to know them!
You should sit in the middle row of your classes, you don't want to seem like a teacher's pet, but you don't want to seem like you don't care what the teacher is saying. The middle is your safe zone, and most of the kids will be sitting there.
Make sure you know all the teacher's rules and grading habits.
The rest of the year
Do your homework the day it is given, not 10 minutes before the due date, the same goes to studying.
Be yourself! And a new year is a chance to make new friends!
Good luck! I promise you will make it through
