Help ! I want to tranfer fast!!!!!!?

We Answered:

Hello Alyssa,
sorry I don't know much about the place where you are and the school you are also attending. But all I can say is that, try to identify first why you hate the teacher, if transferring will solve the problem or you are to find a problem which you do not know yet. Better have a good thought of it and ask your parents also, for they still know the best and they are the closest people who can help you...

I need help from a Person living in Canada?

We Answered:

First of all, I would like to put your mind at ease by disputing the claims of both of the previous (somewhat hysterical) responses that have been provided so far.

Toronto (specifically the GTA, or Greater Toronto Area) is a very large city made up of smaller areas such as Scarbororough or North York. While, like all big cities, there are areas that have higher crime rates than others, you should by no means believe that North York (or any area) is full of gangs and criminal activity. I currently live in North York and work in Scarborough, and have never run into any gang activity or felt in any way unsafe.

Unionville, Scarborough, and North York all have good residential communities as you seem to be looking for. A realtor will be able to steer you towards the type of family neighborhood with townhouses and good schools (we do have middle schools in Toronto by the way, the previous poster obviously lives in a reigon far outside of the city, as is clear by her irrational fear of big cities and ignorance of our school system), and away from some of the more run-down or unsavory pockets of the city. The Toronto Real Estate Board's website is a good place to start http://www.torontorealestateboard.com/ you can search for a realtor and browse to answer any questions you may have about buying property here.

Setting up a day care can be tricky. If you want to have more than five kids at a time, you will need to be licenced by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services http://www.gov.on.ca/children/english/in… If you do want to set up a licenced day care this website may also be useful http://www.canadabusiness.ca/servlet/Con…

Good luck, and welcome to Toronto, it's a great place to live.
