Scholarships For Middle School Students

Jeff Said:

Is high school band worth it? Should I take it? *High school band students answer please!*?

We Answered:

well basically, I agree with the previous poster in the fact that you are kinda full of yourself and are just worried about your image. Basically do it or don't do it but you should probably get over yourself. Band isn't for nerds. People who say that are messed. Maybe you should just loosen up and maybe enjoy playing the music otherwise get lost.

Have a good day :) LOL

Will discipline issues in middle school hurt my chances for college admission?

We Answered:

No transcripts from middle school are sent to colleges. They don't care what grades you got, what classes you took from before high school.
When a college applications asks for any discipline actions or suspension, they are only interested if it happen in high school.
No records from before 9th grade are sent to colleges.

they only care about your high school years.

I'm a white, middle-class student. I graduate high school this year. How do i get scholarships?

We Answered:

Good luck. Us middle class white boys cant get anything anymore.

Maybe you could pretend you're native american or french-speaking, or an orphan.

America hates the white man :(

I have a 4.0 as a freshman in college looking for scholarships...?

We Answered:

I recommend checking with the trransfer department at the University of Texas because they might be able to help, too. You might want to search for outside scholarships.Outside scholarships can fill in the gaps that FAFSA did not touch in tuition help. However, if you can't find the additional funds, you might want to wait one more year before transfering to save money on the student loans. I will list free some places that can help you find money to attend the University of Texas.

First, the college's financial aid office and website has a list of private scholarships offered from outside organizations and companies. Sometimes a college major's website will list scholarships, too.

Second, the public library has a book listing scholarships with some not even listed on the web.

Third, fill out the FAFSA form if you have not done so yet. Your financial aid package will adjust from the community college amount you have been receiving to the new tuition at the University of Texas.

Finally, I recommend joining several free membership scholarship search websites, but the best I have located is Scholarship Experts since they have a very thorough and lengthy survey to complete compared to Fastweb. There are scholarships for a variety of things including ethnicity, clubs, hobbies, and even wearing duct tape to the high school prom. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on information entered onto a form on the website.

Good luck!
