Think black holes. That's what i would do.
You can find ALOT of research material on the net that will help you and black holes are the fascination of every astronomer/ astrophysicist or science teacher.

If you want, search my answers, i answered a few black holes questions and given alot of data. If you are as lazy as i think, that would save you some paragraphs :)

PS: I would include a video presentation as well.(that would be a bit harder to find)

Also you wouldn't have to spend your time on the telescope and other boring stuff

When I was in high school about 3 years ago, I did a SIMPLE one that got me a blue ribbon! Here's what you do:

*Get 2 cans of the same soda (doesn't matter what kind!)
*Wrap one can with red paper, and the other with blue
*Act like you did a little experiment with 5 people and had them taste test each can of soda.

Hypothesis: Even though it is the same soda, people will say that the drink in the red can tasted better.
Reason: People have a tendency to be more attracted to red than blue.
