You haven't done anything wrong. What punishment? Are they gona put you in jail for hugging a girl when you were like 16? LOL. I DON'T THINK SO.
But it wouldn't not be a good idea to go back and confess, because then they will think that everything was true (if one was true), and you will get in big unjustified trouble.
It seems that you have done nothing wrong, although the way you describe it makes it sound like you are leaving out details - at any-rate, I've done much worse in my life and im living happily. In the end, it is about your conscious and what you can live with - I don't really understand why your flashbacks bother you, but talk with your parents about it if you really must tell someone, (although you have already told us).
This seems to be affecting the rest of your life, you should work to get over it as soon as possible.
