2) Marbouro - hancock park (all girls)
3) Brentwood
4) Cambell Hall
5) Flintridge or Amaculate Heart

HW is one of the best in the country, though its very expensive(26,000 a year; though there all pretty expensive)
Marbouro would be next, except that some of it is underconstruction. By the way these are all private schools. Good public schools would be Loyola and Notre Dame.

My son's school is in the LA area, and we've found that for the jr high students, Knott's Berry Farm works well for supervision, and the kids had been there less than other parks. We've done Universal, but it seemed harder to supervise the kids and the groups got more spread out, sort of defeating the purpose of going as a class.

Also, we've taken the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner down to the San Clemente Pier, which was fun and the kids spent a lot of time talking, which was nice, but we had to carry a lot of supplies down there.

We've had school parties at Lucky Strike Bowl http://www.bowlluckystrike.com/locations… and Montrose Bowl http://www.montrosepartybowl.com/

Moving schools can be extremely difficult, especially at this age. Just try to be yourself, as that is the key to pretty much everything...you'll soon find out.

Try to go out of your comfort zone a little bit and make an effort to meet some people in your classes and get to know them.
Honestly, if your entire high school is 750 kids, its a pretty small high school compared to the 3000 at mine. Chances are that these kids know each other pretty well and will recognize the new kid.

Hopefully they will be kind enough to try and help you out but you can't leave it up to them.
High school isn't bad...its so much better than junior high. You'll be fine, I wouldn't stress too much.
