Gina Said:

I am curious on how to do good in school if they changed the grading system to like 3.0 and 4.0 averages?

We Answered:

just ask the schools when do they change the grading system and do good in school.

Chester Said:

What is the scientific concept?

We Answered:

Sadly, there isn't a nice neatly packaged short definition. "The scientific concept involves observation, recording & organizing, meaurement, prediction, hypothesizing, inference, estimation, classification, and analyzing.

If you want a breakdown of each term, "Google" SCIENTIFIC CONCEPT. You will find that the observations, measurements, etc. may require refinement or redefining as you gather information. So it isn't necessarily "cut and dry". It is a thinking and evaluating process as well.

I have to do a writing assignment and i dont get the instructions.. help?

We Answered:

Think of something or someone you care about. Next, think about how this person or thing could be represented as an object or animal. For example, an extremely busy person could be represented as a bee. Write a poem or short story in a way that incorporates the symbol (e.g. bee). So, for the bee example, in a poem, you might personify a bee as you describe how busy it is, all the while thinking of the person, so that the poem is actually describing the individual. For a short story, you might write about the person and their busy lifestyle when suddenly they come across a bee and contemplate it. The bee symbolizes their busy lifestyle.

Here is a link that explains the AIMS 6 rubric if you are also confused about that:

Hope that helps!

Do I have a chance to get into anything like Harvard, Stanford, etc.?

We Answered:

None of your grades or anything you do before 9th grade matter. There's nothing here to say whether or not you can get into a top school. Try asking again in 3 years - at which point we'll point out that those schools only take 10% or less of applicants so there's still no way to tell. Keep in mind you need a 4-year college degree to apply to medical school, and you don't have to do that degree at Harvard to apply to Harvard Med.

Francisco Said:

help on 6th grade essay(3)?

We Answered:

Essay is just another word for story. Essays
need a topic sentence. That's a sentence that
tells what your essay is about. Most essays
follow some kind of time line. What happened
first, after that, next, finally and then a summary
to wrap up what you just wrote about. Summaries
can include a personal opinion about the topic.
Details that support the topic is probably what your
teacher means by specific. If you are writing about
how many hamburgers are eaten at fast food
restaurants in one year then including numbers by each fast food store is being specific. Do a lot
of research and include this research in your essay. Use a google search to find your information. Sorry your teacher isn't being more
helpful. Perhaps having a meeting between your
teacher, principal and your parents will help. Good luck honey. You can do this.
