head down to a local college or jr college and ask, sometiumes there are displaced homemaker, non traditional studies and other scholarships. You are not too old. you can check freescholarshipguide.com there are a host of sites offering scholarship search, use a free site, you can also call you local public school and ask for references for adult college scholarships. You are going to enjoy college. Good luck. and try collegenet.com

James Said:

More women graduating from college than men?

We Answered:

Be assured they will catch up. The ones who went into service to get the college benefit has not returned yet to fulfill that part of their lives. It will be a high rise in men in college then.

Lawrence Said:

Should we stop wasting money on scholarships for women since they just stop working to make babies?

We Answered:

Well in terms of resources, that argument seems to make sense. But you're forgetting that a lot of women would like to stay home with their kids but can't, and have to work. If we denied women scholarships, we would be making it harder for these women to provide for their children.

I'm a full supporter of SAHMs and I believe every mother should be one. But that said, I think it's truly evil to do anything that could put a working mother in a situation where she's unable to provide for her kids.

I will say that I don't think there should be any gender-based scholarships, though. I think scholarships should be awarded purely based on a person's merits. Nothing else.

Looking for Graduate School Funds?

We Answered:

Here's a website which lists US colleges which offer MLS degrees.
This site's focus is "distance learning", but offers information
which might help you:

http://www.becomealibrarian.org/Distance…

If you click on a school - Florida State Univ., for example-
and then on "financial aid", you'll see details on
scholarships, grants, and loans for the school.
Best to you.
