Deffinately talk to your art teacher as well as your college advisor. They have a lot of resources at their fingertips.

Also check out www.scholarships.com and www.fastweb.com. Both sites offer information about scholarships based on things like your interests, location, ethnicity, etc.

If you have any schools you are considering for a Graphic Design major check with each individual school. I know that the college I work for has a graphic design poster competition each year for graduating seniors with a top prize of $35,000. Other schools may have similar opportunities.

The one other Graphic Design scholarship that comes right to mind is sponsored by Coca-Cola. They have one to use towards Associate degrees and another to use towards Bachelor degrees. You can learn more about it at:

One thing to always remember when it comes to scholarships. NEVER pay for scholarship information. There are people and companies who tell students and their families that for a fee they will supposedly find X number of scholarships for the student. In reality they give you a list of X number of scholarships that you may be eligible to apply for . . . You can get the same information as noted above with research for free.

Schools always offer scholarships but every school is different so you may want to contact someone at the school you are interested in to find out what they offer. Sometimes they may base it on your work and other times your grades so at least if you know what chances you have, then you can be better prepared to highlight those points in your interview.
