High School Scholarships Canada

Violet Said:

If you attend high school in Canada, can you apply for a athletic scholarship at an american university?

We Answered:

definitely, US colleges send scouts all over the world. Do a search of US colleges that offer cheerleading schols and then sell yourself, make a video of your best work with mini-interviews with coaches, etc and send it off with an application. Good Luck/Bonne Chance

Kevin Said:

what is the best high school if u want to be a lawyer in canada? PLEASE HELP!?

We Answered:

Law schools won't care about what you did in high school. Law school in the US and Canada offers you a post-graduate degree, meaning that you need to have a bachelor's degree to even attend. As a result, law schools will only look at what you've been doing since college onward. Harvard Law won't request your high school transcripts and won't know/care where you attended high school.

could i study abroad in canada(high school)?

We Answered:

Canada does not offer student visas for some one your age.

In order to be accepted at a Canadian University, you will need to have graduated from high school in Mexico, with at least a 80 percent average . There are no scholarships for International students in Canada. You have to pay 100 percent of the costs, yourself.

Sorry.

I need help finding scholarships? Already graduated High School, and plan to go to school Internationally?

We Answered:

Most deadlines for scholarships for students starting school in the fall were back in Feb and March. This is prob why you aren't finding anything. You have to be pretty early and prepare way ahead of time to get free money.

If you can't afford school, you need to apply for federal financial aid at http://fafsa.ed.gov When it asks what state you want to go to, select "FOREIGN COUNTRY" and see if your school from canada is listed.

The process for receiving scholarships (if you indeed win one) varies depending on who you get them from. The majority of scholarships out there are given to you directly from the school you attend. If that is the case, the school doesn't really "give" you any money, it just shows up as a credit to your bill. If you do earn a scholarship from someone OTHER than your school that would depend on the policy written right into the application. Most outside agencies send the money in the form of a check directly to your school after you prove to them you have enrolled (usually by giving them a copy of your class schedule). It is a VERY rare thing to find a scholarship that gives the money directly to you (unless maybe it is from a source you are VERY close to, like your church).

Again, you aren't going to be awarded any money for scholarships without being admitted and enrolled in school. Do not WAIT to apply for admission, unless you want to end up going nowhere to college. Personally, it sounds like you need to have a backup plan for college.

ontario, canada high school football?

We Answered:

Practice hard, and find hope to play for a good highschool Division 1 team, if your from the niagara area there is a decent chance you could get a scholorship or invite to some university teams, but you also need the grades..

Then just have to prove yourself in university ball if you want to make the cfl..
