What are my chances of getting into UCLA, USC, or UC Berkeley?

We Answered:

geez, i wish i was at your school. rank is 4th??

4.2 gets you at 11% at my school.

Anyways, get some good reccomendation letters!!! And make sure to write a good essay. If you do that i'd say, you have a 78% chance of getting in. Good luck!

What are my chances of getting into each of these respective colleges/universities?

We Answered:

WOW, that's impressive man...it's not everyday I see someone with those credentials like you...your GPA is very high almost perfect, and extracurricular activities are outstanding and impressive you should have no problem getting into any of those schools...but one thing I did not see listed that is very important at those schools is already having a foreign language? some schools require you have one already...but your going to have to find out yourself the actual requirments even though you look like your good apply and then just double check on their sites and call

Cheryl Said:

What are my chances of acceptance into these universities?

We Answered:

Absolutely, Great GPA, very good SAT and tons of extra circulars. Yes you have a very good chance. It's a gimmie for UCLA, UC Berk and USC. Cornell would be the toughtest but I don't know anything about the Art center.

What are my chances of getting into these respective colleges/universities?

We Answered:

Your SAT scores are on the low side for Cornell, but you still have a chance. Your odds are better at Berkeley, UCLA and USC because your statistics are in line with what they accept. Your SAT scores are in the mid-range, though, so it might be worth retaking the SAT to see if you can boost your scores a bit.

Should I foster for a rescue or raise a seeing eye puppy?

We Answered:

At your age it would be a good idea to now turn your attention to doing something different like the raising a seeing eye dog - especially if it means it will help you towards your goals financially and experience-wise. You can always go back to rescue work once you have finished your schooling.

Keep in mind that not all rescues and programs are the same so maybe try working with different groups until you find one that is more inclusive.

It seems from what you wrote that you are volunteering at a shelter which is a different experience then fostering dogs for a private 501c3 non-profit organization.

I foster dogs for a private rescue in Los Angeles and am always totally involved in showing the dog and making decisions on re-homing the dog. I am responsible for taking my foster dog to adoptions 3 Xs a month. I am at a park for 4 hours with my foster dog on a leash and talk to all the people who come through looking at the dogs.

I tried 3 others before this one and found that I TOTALLY enyoy the way this rescue group operates.
