We Answered:schools.medianewsonline.com - it provides some tips about applying to US federal and state grants for college students.
Terri Said:How Can I start an essay that identifies my educational & career goals?
We Answered:1. Speak to the type of scholarship it is - is it a memorial to someone or funded by a large corporation? Determining your audience can make a big difference in your approach and how successful you are.
2. Organize your ideas but don't necessarily try to write a great introduction first. Many writers make that mistake and are stuck. Think about and organize the body of the essay - the main points you want to make about what you can contribute with this knowledge and the skills you learn. Also, the kind of life you can make for yourself and possibly for your family. Introductions and conclusions almost write themselves if you have a good points in the body of your applicaton essay.
3. Go back to the scholarship instructions and make sure you are following the directions very carefully.
4. Get letters of recommendation from teachers and professionals - give them details about the scholarship you are applying for and allow them plenty of time to write the letter(s).
5. Make sure your submission is error free. Many times a campus has an academic or career center that will provide free assistance in editing writing projects - check that out!
I wish you all the best.
Edwin Said:Where can i find a scholarship for young, single mothers for medical assistant at PIMA in colorado springs, co
We Answered:make an appointment with your school advisor or counselor at the college you would like to attend they can steer you in the right direction for grants (dont have to be paid back). If the school that you are attending accept fin aid you can also qualify for a Pell grant which is dependant of your income. Your potential college financial aid office shoudl be able to guide you through this and with a child that makes you independent to qualify for Pell Grants which can be a tremendous help along with Financial Aid which is a loan and has to be paid back. Good Luck
Naomi Said:How should I plan my medical career?
We Answered:If you want to begin as a medical assistant to get your foot in the door, go ahead. However, I would recommend you either go to a program at your local junior college or adult school. They are a lot less expensive. Your other option would be to check out your local ROP program and see what they offer. If you end up with several good, relatively inexpensive options compared to a private school, call local employers and find out which school they hire new employees from. Some employers won't consider any students who went to a certain school. Do your homework before you start.
I don't know how the loan process works and how quickly you would need to pay them back. However, I wll tell you that I got scholarships for my two year degree.
The other thing I would recommend you do is do informational interviews. Interview current medical students to find out how they have been going about things. Good Luck!
Andrea Said:Is it possible to get a scholarship or student loan to Jefferson medical college?
We Answered:If the school is a Christian school you can go to www.crosstuition.org and apply for a grant (you don't have to ever pay back). They give grants to students attending Christian schools.
