I have an Army ROTC and a Naval ROTC scholarship sitting in my lap. What do I do?We Answered:
Ok well I wouldn't listen to the top 2 posters on here. They are obviously biased in what they are saying. Not everyone is a ground pounder. Majority of the Army isn't made up of Infantry. Anyways, the question really is....what job do you want to do as an officer? Do you want to be on a ship/submarine or on land? Why are you truly joining the ROTC program? DO you want to make a career out of it? Do you care about deployments or being away from home? How long do you want deployments to be and what location? See, all these things you need to answer yourself. The Army or Navy is only better when speaking relative to a single person. The Army may be better for you therefore overall it is better, relative to what you want. It's really up to you and your wants and needs in your life.Lois Said:

Im filling out an rotc scholarship application. what should i put for why i want to be a naval officer? We Answered:
Hopefully it's because you want to serve your country. You probably want to be a leader and hopefully you love the sea and ships, etc. (Personally I wish I wasn't too old to go into the Navy.) You want to make your country and your Navy stronger. You think that you have skills which would benefit the Navy (go into more detail about what those are). You believe in the Navy's Core Values and want to live by them and lead other Navy servicemen and servicewomen to live by them as well. Describe what it is you like about the Navy's core values. I hope you get it. GO NAVY!Bernice Said:
