What are my chances in getting into UNC-Chapel Hill?We Answered:
I have to agree with the other answer. Having English as a second language, even with your fluency, probably had a marked negative impact on your SAT scores. You are very interesting and I think would be an excellent addition to a college. UNC is huge and you'll get lost there. Here is a different way:
Apply to Davidson College as well. They are much smaller than UNC, a nationally recognized liberal arts college, and I think Chris Gruber [Director of Admissions} will give your application personal attention - UNC just can't do that because they are so big.
Here is the contact information:

Does anyone know any scholarships I could apply for nursing? We Answered:
There is a nursing scholarship from The Friend's of Nursing. I live in Colorado and was awarded that one. I"m not sure if this is a nation wide organization, but if you contact your Nursing Adviser, they may have other scholarships specifically for nurses in your state. Good luck.Tiffany Said:
What would be the best college or university for me?We Answered:
Here's an idea. Make an appointment over at MUSC (http://www.musc.edu/em/admissions). See the tab "future applicants", that may be you some day. Be honest with them. Tell them you're in high school and are interested in medicine and would like to talk with someone about medical careers. Tell them what you're tellin' me and they might give you some insight. As far as colleges, honestly, there are twenty within the area you mentioned that are good schools academically. You need one that fits you as a person. Another idea, talk with your family doctor or a doctor that you or someone in your family knows. Doctors love to help people who want to go into the field of medicine. Good luck, keep hittin' those school books.Donald Said:
What are my chances of getting into Princeton? We Answered:
If your unweighted GPA is 4.0 or close to it, you stand just about as good a chance as any regular applicant, which is under 10%.You should perform outstandingly in at least two classes, so that you can obtain outstanding letters of recommendation. You should also earn all A grades from now until you graduate. You may get in by being selected from the waiting list, so your spring grades may be important.
Good luck.
