I recommend checking the colleges you are looking to attend. Most have a booklet or pamphlet on the scholarships they offer and who qualifies and where to apply and what you have to do. They will have scholarships for those from certain states, and other great scholarships! Plus, instead of the entire state competing for a scholarship, only those from that college will be competing.

The deadline for a lot of colleges is February or March, so be sure to look into and get your applications in before the deadline!

So first off, its important to focus on grades right now especially while looking at these schools that you mentioned. Also, it would help if you lived in the same state of some of these colleges, you will get looked at better for basketball if you do, and if you have good grades on top of that you will stand out. on the ACT score about 24-25 or higher but if considering an ivy league(Princeton) it better be way up ( 30+).
