Postgraduate Scholarships For International Students

Ramon Said:

Yale University, International Students.?

We Answered:

Yes. Yale definitely takes international students, and they probably do have scholarships which do not differentiate among students of different nationalities (that is more common at top schools like Yale than at lesser schools). You would need to contact them directly for information, and they would send you all that you need to know.

Peggy Said:

master degree for international student.?

We Answered:

Knowledge has no boundary. Yes you can study any thing that interest you and that you have talent in. Go for Polytechnics rather than a University. In some schools you can take more than one course.
For financial help consult The British Council near you.

USA Visa for an international student in UK?

We Answered:

All you have to prove to the officer is your INTENT to return. So show him everything that you have especially your affiliation to the University and the letter would really help. Dont mention your brother or he will think you are going there to join him especially as he went as a tourist too.

Scholarships Australia, endeavour award?

We Answered:

As we are talking about only a very small number of scholarships (less than 60) and these are the ONLY scholarships for international students at any university in Australia - yes the competition will be extremely hard. For an Australian to get a PhD scholarship - even getting a first class honours degree and have a supervisor take you on is not sufficient to guarenntee you getting a scholarship - why would it be any easier for an international student?

Taking on an international Masters or PhD students is something many Australian supervisors are not prepared to do as international applicants take alot more time and effort than local Australian students. The productivity (research papers, test scores etc) of the applicant reflects on whether for one, the supervisor will be promoted any time soon, so they require evidence that the student is going to be beneficial to them. That is what AusAid is trying to help - by ensuring that the scholarships holders are the best of the best - not just a student who got good marks in their assigned clases, but one who entered in additional academic competitions, scholarship and awards etc.

A student who just does what is needed to get their degree is not someone who is suited to a Masters/PhD degree - you only want one who goes above and beyond.

Nothing is stopping you from applying but dont get your hopes up.

International student: master's degree in International Relations?

We Answered:

Australia is becoming a very popular place to study at, for the increasing quality and for the low tuition fees. I can suggest you to have a look at this great website: http://www.studyinaustralia.gov.au/Sia/en/Home.htm they have much of the information on studying in Australia, including universities, tuition fees and scholarships.
For international Master degrees you may want to keep an eye on this: http://www.business-students.net/international-study-programs/mba-programs

Which Uni es better: University of the Witwatersrand or Cape Town University?

We Answered:

I would definitely say Cape Town. Its a beautiful place and they are more organized than wits. As far as rankings go, I think they are ranked about the same but "coolness" wise, cape town is currently ranked higher.

Stella Said:

postgraduate degree in Australia?

We Answered:

Scholarships are not rare for postgrad/masters - they are non existent. Universities only give out scholarships for PhD and then only to Australian PR and Citizens who have a Distinction Average in their undegraduate degree.

With respect to fees - there is no cheap university as such - the DEGREE not the UNIVERSITY determines the cost. e.g. all Grad Cert in Management degrees cost the same amount regardless on the university, same with a MBA, Grad Dip Ed etc.
