You are leaving open a window for much discretion by not outlining your current financial "needs." - Try to pin-point your out of pocket expenses and costs on your path to reaching each progressive level in your competitions. %Saying "you are willing to accept any amount provided" leaves open this window to their discretion, which could be only a few dollars.
YOU NEED *BIG BUCKS* of support!!! - SAY SO in your letter.
Present this as an Employment application, saying that "you will expect payment of $xxxx.xx for your work (energies) by mentioning their company as a supporter in the competition."
Be RUTHLESS with your offer.
Build your offer as an Advertising campaign for their company. - This will catch the PR Director's attention.
Also, be very picky with using a spell-checker / grammar editor in your offer. I noticed a few grammatical errors that are so suttle that we overlook them by nature when we know better.
Apply the three transition-points in your offer; OPENING, BODY and CLOSE.
Open with a listing of what leads you to them,
in your BODY, mention what their help can provide
and in your Closing, re-list what leads you to them. Present your offer in full-circle.

hey , I read only the first paragraph and it was sort of enough for me. Twilight has become an idea to many young writers who think basing their thoughts on one of Meyer's characters would make their plot a way more interesting and successful as her books are- it is wrong! Nobody would be willing to read another Twilightish book, and dancing wolves?
However, I like your writing style and I think it's a matter of time until you come up with your own idea and maybe Meyer will buy your own book - I promise I will be standing in the line to snatch it off the shelf too : - )

No matter what great opportunities he sought out, he was a child molester. Even if he wasnt (which of course I dont believe) he was always insanely inappropriate with kids.

PS... none of these examples, nice as they are, have anything to do with promoting peace. They are acts of service (or promotion) but that is different than promoting PEACE. So the prize wouldnt have been appropriate anyway.
