If you use a sample letter, it will sound like one to the recipient! It is much better to personalize it and write it from the heart so you can express genuine appreciation! After all, did your son receive a sample scholarship, or the real thing?

It doesn't have to be long, or profound! Something like:

1st paragraph: One sentence thanking (the giver) so much for the (specifics) scholarship awarded to (son) at the (occasion & date)

2nd paragraph: Brief summary of why you appreciate it and how much it means to you & your son

3rd paragraph: Thank them again for the scholarship and that you will always remember their generosity ,etc

Closing / sign name / type name

It's the thought that counts, and make it from the heart! (And congrats to your son!)
