I had to do something similair to this after my undergrad. Unfortunately I dont have a sample anymore. I actually had a professional tutor help me write it because it was a highly saught after scholarship and there were a lot of entrants. Im not sure if yours is the same criteria, but if it is, the main thing is to do something to make yours stand out. Do something to make them remember you. Also, you want to sound truely genuine. A technique I tried, which worked, was putting a few MINOR flaws about yourself and exactly the steps you plan to take to correct them. This makes them think you are being sincere with them. These are all pretty basic but I hope they help.

- Your family are not financially stable, yet you must work to support them and it's affecting your study time and focus.
- You do not have enough money to purchase books, computers, etc. Things that you would need to be successful in school.
- You do not have money for school, which is keeping you from going to school.
- You do not have money for transportation, which is keeping you from getting to school.
