you sound like the average harvard applicant. you haven't done anything to make you stand out - this is your only mistake, but it's a fatal one. don't talk about religion in your applications, by the way. i suggest applying for sure, but also be sure to apply to a few other ivies (you are almost a shoo-in for cornell, dartmouth, and brown; possibly columbia) and then other top 20 schools like vanderbilt, emory, duke, and hopkins. don't forget some safeties (i suggest tulane [where you would get tons of merit money, by the way], upitt, unc-chapel hill, and nyu)
