Scholarship For Vietnamese Student

Kim Said:

what clubs will look good on an application for college or a university?

We Answered:

Usually a deep involvement (e.g. serving as an officer or chairing a committee or leading a project team) in a few clubs is better than just being a member of many. Clubs that involve service to others are good. Clubs that relate to your future career interests are good. Choose a few that interest you and participate actively.

Ian Said:

Bachelor Degree for Graphic Design in Europe, except England?

We Answered:

I am currently in College in England, taking graphic design. The international students fees are expensive everywhere, but in most colleges and universities here in England they offer scholarships, grants and loans to students who are need of financial aid for their classes. If I were you, I'd search for the best places with your course, and get in touch with them to find out if there are any possible ways to help in paying for the education. Just be sure that you meet the requirements that they ask for. It's a pain in the *** to go through all that, especially when you're an international student, what with visas and all, but it will be worth it in the end.

Good luck with that. :)

Cynthia Said:

I need suggestions, for scholarship overseas 8th grader (US) or year 9(UK)?

We Answered:

usually scholarship is for those with high school certificate. but if u r migrating, it will be easier. u can try for US 8th grade - east coast midwest, south or west?? u hv to decide wh school. then apply. there r thousands of school in USA. so narrow down to perhaps oregon or washington state. - its cheaper and faster to get there fr vietnam. california is too expensive. there's a big vietnamese commmunity in minneapolis. they can help.

UK usu dont give scholarships to grade school.

Thelma Said:

how many clubs will look good on a college or university application?

We Answered:

Quality over quantity - colleges would rather see one fantastic activity, in or our of school, then you joining every club out there. Only do what you're interested in. If you want to get into a top school, you'll need a lot more than joining a few clubs (and I don't mean joining 20 clubs).

Misty Said:

What do i have to do ? What's so wrong about being a Vietnamese student?

We Answered:

It's because Vietnam is a poor and undeveloped nation but still kicked our a$$ in that war 40 years ago. We hate to lose.

Glenn Said:

Is there a single word in English meaning the highest scorer in an (entrance) examination?

We Answered:

There is no really exact single word. There is a chiefly American word, "valedictorian," but that is generally used to refer to the highest ranking student in a graduating class. I have not seen it used to refer to the highest scorer on an individual examination.

Of course, your suggestions, scholarship student and honors/honours student are similarly not usually used with respect to a single examination. A scholarship student is one who, by virtue of his academic achievement, is awarded a scholarship, i.e., special privileges or reduced tuition. An honors/honours student is a student whose work has been awarded recognition for its overall excellence.

I think you are better off sticking with a two-word translation: highest grade, highest achiever, top scorer, or simply number one.

I am sorry I can't come up with a one-word answer for you, but I hope this helps.
