Can the average student easily get scholarships for college? We Answered:
From what I've seen, he average student is left with loans. If you're not one of those select few with super high scores, then a lot of big scholarships go out of the door. The idea that millions go unclaimed is more of a myth. If any scholarship goes unclaimed, it was probably either well hidden or had very specific qualifications.Take it from an average student (3.8 GPA)

Child of disabled veteran scholarship? We Answered:
Well, the rules specify that the applicant must be a dependent child or spouse of a veteran or serviceman who died from service-connected diseases or is disabled. Despite your marital status, are you still dependent on your parents? If so, you could still apply for the grant and receive it.But to be absolutely sure, you can call up the US Department of Veterans Affairs and verify for yourselves.
1-888-GIBILL-1 (1-888-442-4551). Or else you could ask this question using their secure email system and your inquiry will normally be answered in 3-5 working days.

What businesses would most likely give donations for veterans organizations? We Answered:
Start with locally owned restaurants. ( people love to eat) Garden centers, beauty salons, tanning salons, coffee shops, anyplace that has gift certificates. If you deal with chain stores, Walgreen's, CVS, Applebee's, Cheddar's, the manager might help you out, but you'll probably have to write a letter to their corporate headquarters. Do that now, so you'll be sure to get an answer by August. If there is a Pepsi or Coke distributor close, you could check with them, tooPost 83, in Sandusky, Ohio has a very active Riders unit. Sanduky is also home to the Ohio Soldiers and Sailors Home. I wish you luck. The Legion Riders do a lot of good things.
