Scholarships For Current College Students

Jennie Said:

Could AFROTC Express scholarships apply to current college students?

We Answered:

You have to already be in college and in the specific major to apply for an Express scholarship. You also need to complete your degree in a year that qualifies for the Express scholarship. Also, the website shows that Express scholarships are Type 1 scholarships which pay the full tuition and fees.

Joyce Said:

I'm a current college student (freshman) and I was wondering how to find scholarships?

We Answered:

1. Be sure to talk (via telephone - voice-to-voice, or in person) with a counselor at the Wesleyan Univ. Financial Aid Office about all your financial aid options. The univ. may have financial aid funds specifically for its own students. Private/independent colleges tend to have more of this kind of $$$ than public/state supported colleges/universities.

2. For electronic tools to help you plan your college costs and to find scholarships and grants, the very best and most reliable is through College Board (who publish the College Blue Book and administer the SAT.) They do not sell you email address to other sites which will send you a lot of spam.

Go to: http://www.collegeboard.org (corrected address)
Click on the For Students link
On the next page, click on the Pay for College link (green tab)
On the Pay for College pay are links to a number of useful electronic tools:
Financial aid planning
Scholarship Search
Etc.
You will need to register, but they are excellent electronic tools
Just follow the on-screen directions and complete the on-screen questionnaire for the Scholarship Search

3. When you do find scholarships/grants for which you may be eligible, be sure to follow the application rules to the letter.

Glen Said:

where can i find scholarships for a current college student.?

We Answered:

Most colleges have a financial aid director- got to them and they will be more than able to give you a list of scholarships in your college as well as state. Try looking online as well. Look for an employer that pays you to go to school and earn a degree.

Lynn Said:
