Yes, Caucasian males are discriminated against. They might not get a job they are qualified for because affirmative action demands that a woman or minority be hired, even if they are less qualified. Of course, there is the example you gave about the financial aid. I would have no problem with a scholarship for male Caucasians (I am a female) because it would truly be equal rights then. But some people couldn't handle equal rights, and really do not want them.

A.whites have them-if you are Irish, Italian, Polish, or German there is a scholarship to be had.

B. Not every black will get it. UNCF is a fund that was started when blacks were not allowed to atttend college and could not get scholarships. It helps black americans find scholarships which they MIGHT qualify for.

C. the reason it's listed as the ***** college fund rather than Somali, malian, etc is because most blacks, unlike whites do not know what their ethnic origin is, so they have to compete w/ one whole continent

Look at the whole situation. I agree w/ you. Ppl need to see the whole situation before they lump us all into one category.

Scholarship applications for people to get money for the fall were to be filled out and completed back in Feb and March. If you didn't do them back then then the deadlines have all passed and you aren't likely going to find too many scholarships with deadlines later than this.

Next year, start looking a lot earlier and maybe you'll have better luck. Also, scholarships are only given out to those with the highest GPA and admission test scores (if your admission test scores weren't very good, this may be why you aren't being given anything.)

If your school is more than what you are getting in federal aid only , then you need to find a cheaper school. It sounds to me like you are getting a pretty good deal with the "grants and loans" you ARE being offered. Most don't get any grants at all.

I don't think it's fair. Any self respecting persons of color should agree. AA point blank says, you are too backward to make it without special help. I agree there are persons on all of the color spectrum that deserve a hand and this should not have to do with gender or color, since neither are a handicap.
