State Scholarships to Illegals

With politicians and newspapers like they have in California, it's no wonder the state has become a magnet for millions of illegal immigrants. The latest lunacy? The legislature has enacted a bill giving illegals scholarships to state universities. And the Los Angeles Times predictably wants Gov. Schwarzenegger to sign it into law.

magikmike, u talk about crime and how much it as escalated because of illegal immigrants. Did u know that most try to avoid any problem no matter how small it is so that they lay low. It's common sense. And Kataroux, you say that it is easy becoming legal. Do you have an idea how long that process takes. You say its only a couple of dollars, but did u know that they dont even have that much sometimes. THATS WHY SOME OF THEM COME OVER. Kataroux, u also say that they take jobs away. Why is it that those jobs are open in a time like this? Its because they were open that they got filled. Immigrants have done so much for this country. Have any of you ever heard of the bracero movement that happened a while ago? People didnt want to work the fields and they actually got Mexicans to come over to work. Do you think that abuse didnt exist back then? People who are anti immigrants and refuse to look at life through their eyes are ignorant. Have any of you actually thought about what a legal American is? The Europeans that came to "explore" didnt have papers. And do any of you seriously believe that Native Americans kept asking for documentation? This country was "born" of immigrants. Americans are just selfish. Sometimes people can such hypocrites. Someone who says its just not fair that they come over are being babies. Im sure that even they have told someone "tough luck" or "life isnt fair."
