Does anyone know of scholarships for moms who ARE married?

We Answered:

Look into these websites:
scholarships.com and fastweb.com
Both are legitimate scholarship sites that allow users to search for a variety of opportunities. Your college's financial aid office is also a great resource for scholarships, but you don't want to wait. Call today!
Good luck.

Colleen Said:

Do you think full ride scholarships for teen moms are fair?

We Answered:

I think it is absolutely unfair. Just because they were extremely irresponsible, they get awarded. One of my friends got pregnant before she got out of high school, and now she gets completely free college and even extra money. I'm married and don't have children, and I can't get a free ride so why should she. If I wanted to play it like that, I'd get divorced and have a kid...but I just won't do that because I have morals. It really makes me mad, because I have to struggle so hard, and she has it made. I wish it was that easy for everyone. Everyone should have the opportunity to go to college, not just single mothers.

scholarships for moms do you think that is a genuine site and it really is giving out?

We Answered:

I never trust "online scholarship" sites. You don't list the requirements or a link for us to check out the site, but I highly doubt it is legitimate.
Your best option is the FAFSA and college scholarships.

Scholarships for Single Moms? Where Can I apply any links you know of?

We Answered:

I personally don't recomment to apply to any scholarships online. They are just a waste of time. The chances of getting one are really small. The best way to get scholarships is to go to the financial aid office of your schools. They can give you plenty of information on scholarships, grants (money you don't give back) and even low interest loans (from the govt.). Some schools even have programs for single moms that gives them additional financial aid and also offers child care services for FREE. Usually these services are provided through MANY community colleges.

But please, go to your financial aid office. They will help you find all the money needed to cover your cost. YOu have many benefits as a single mother.
