Scholarships For Non Traditional Students

Angel Said:

Scholarships for non-traditional, non-degree-seeking students?

We Answered:

You can get info about such college scholarships and grants online here - universities.atwebpages.com

Leslie Said:

I am non-traditional student. Can anyone give me possible links to scholarships for adult students?

We Answered:

Check with your school's financial aid department. As a non-traditional student myself, I know my school offers scholarships for students who don't fit into the criteria of most scholarships, loans and grants.

When I started grad school, I took out a Sallie Mae Signature Loan (it was one of the few options at the time!). It is the same as other student loans--you don't start paying it back until 6 months after graduation.

If you have a full-time job, see if they offer any support for college students. Some companies do provide monetary assistance in these cases. Also check with local community services (community groups, religious organizations you may belong to) to see if they offer scholarships for non-traditional students.

Good luck!

On the Association for Non-Traditional Students in Higher Education web site, there is a scholarship you can apply for if you're a grad student. Try also contacting their Scholarships Officer Ms. Donna Minkley sixminks@wi.rr.com

Kristen Said:

Where can I find scholarships for non traditional students?

We Answered:

fastweb.com.
As far as scams go, never pay someone an application or any other fee for free money. Never provide your social security number to anyone wanting to give you free money unless it is the federal government.
