There are several ways to acquire a scholarship abroad.As far as US universities are concerned, you must start preparing for ACT/SAT type college entrance tests. Getting an outstanding score on such tests will help you significantly in getting a scholarship application approved. There are also several factors that are considered like your admissions essay, extra-curricular activities, sports and other hobbies and community service activities. The admissions committee needs to know about all these things to even consider you for a admission more so for a scholarship.
Most of the scholarship/assistantships at bachelor-level are for the citizens of the country, not for foreigners.
Many universities grant a scholarship after first semester and then throughout the program if you maintain your GPA above a certain level like 3.5. Of course, you will have to finance the first and/or second semester yourself before the scholarship kicks in.
Since you are majoring in Physics, you must also show and have good background in FSc level physics.
