Claire Said:

where can i find scholarships for single mothers?

We Answered:

I am currently in my second year of college and I found out 4 month ago I am pregnant. I am receiving loans (which I must pay back) but this year my books are very expensive and I am in need of some assistance for my books and tuition.
I applied on below website and result was great. think this would help

Does anyone know of any special grants or scholarships for single mothers?

We Answered:

You can apply for the Federal Financial Aid or FAFSA. I work at a Community College in NJ. I'm in the admissions department.

To learn more about Federal Financial Aid programs, services and how to apply click on

You don't need to pay anyone to have this done... it's free. It's based on your income and it will take you about 45 minutes to an hour to complete.

You'll want to apply now using your 2006 tax return as it does take 4 to 6 weeks to get a reply regarding you eligibility. In the event you don't qualify, you can than apply fora student loan.

Good Luck,
Bill

Does anyone have any information regarding scholarships for single mothers and battered women?

We Answered:

try looking up FASFA on line to see what you qualify for. try calling a local community college and ask to speak to someone in financial aid. also, if your crime(s) against you were reported, and your batterer jailed, you may be eligible for money from the victims of crimes program....call your court house for that. good luck!
